After breakfast today we go on the Yangon city tour You can then stroll along the street before driving to Botahtaung Pagoda famous for its golden decorations. Also visit the Bogyoke Market which deals with several traditional Burmese handicrafts made up of bronze carvings, stone, and wood. You will be heading in the direction of Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha in the afternoon with your loved ones After lunch visit Shwedagon Pagoda to learn more about the history and heritage of Burma, You should also make sure that you capture the views of pristine sunset before heading back to your hotel. After breakfast today we go on a Syria excursion, Your full-day excursion to Syriam will start with only a 45-minute drive across the Bago River from Yangon. It is segmented according to states from Mon to Kayah and comprises traditional houses of the country’s eight major ethnic groups. Visitors may wander through the houses to discover the various crafts, ethnic clothes, and tools of Myanmar’s indigenous people. Then, proceed to Than-lyin. Tour highlights; Ruins of the old Portuguese Churches in the centre of town, the ruins of a Catholic church built by an Italian Barnabite missionary can still be seen, Kyaik-Khauk Pagoda; it perches on the hillock of the town, an imposing golden stupa similar to the Shwedagon with a history dated back over 2,000 years. The two tombs in front of the pagoda are Myanmar writers Natshinnaung and Padethayaza who wrote about ordinary people in the Ava period and were captured by Mon. Later, proceeds to Kyauk-Tan Pagoda (a Pagoda on a small island on a tributary of Yangon’s river), on the way, stop at Bada-Gyi village, to see 41 feet high, 100 years old, huge Seated Buddha Image. enjoy the sunset while driving back to Yangon passing by Thanlyin Bridge which is linking the cities of Thanlyin and Yangon. The bridge crosses the 1-km wide Bagoriver, about 42 km northeast from the river’s confluence with Yangon River and has a single rail track in the middle, surrounded by a motor roadway on each side. After a buffet breakfast we check out the hotel in Yangon and we move to Mandalay. Afternoon we check in to the hotel. After lunch gets refreshed & relaxed, is the spiritual hub of Myanmar and claims residence to around 3,000 monks and nearly 100 meditation shrines. You’ll visit some of the most beautiful pagodas, a small local market and a pottery village which is recognized for manufacturing Myanmar’s ubiquitous water pots using traditional methods. At the end of the afternoon, you will walk around Amarapura, Myanmar’s penultimate royal capital and City of Immortality. First, you will stop at a silk weaving workshop known for its exquisite merchandise. As the sun is about to set, you will walk on the legendary U Bein Bridge, built-in 1782, which is said to be the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Enjoy the very special atmosphere as the late afternoon sun casts long shadows and illuminates the local people heading home, before heading back to Mandalay. After a buffet breakfast, we drive to the Mandalay jetty and board a private local boat for a 1-hr cruise on the Irrawaddy River to MinguVisit the main sites of Mingun beginning with the famous MingunPahtodawqyi. This huge brick structure was left unfinished after an astrologer predicted the King would die should the temple be completed. In the 1800s, an earthquake left several large cracks in the structure. Continue to the beautiful HsinbyumePagoda, whose distinctive style is meant to resemble the mythical Mount Meru. Then, see the Mingun Bell which, weighing in at more than 90 tons, is considered the world’s largest uncracked ringing bell. Lunch on board while returning to Mandalay. Mandalay is well-known for its skilled craftsmen and learns about the city’s unique cottage industry. Observe the production of wood carvings, kalagatapestries, and gold leaf using techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries. Spence moments experience to offer a Gold leaf to the shrine as per local customs. Next, visit Mahamuni Pagoda. This pagoda is home to one of the country’s most revered Buddha images which, over the years, has been covered with metres of gold leaf, giving it a distinct lumpy texture. After a buffet breakfast, Meet with your guide at your hotel and hop on your mountain bike to Mandalay Hill which is a must-do, this 240-meter high hill gives you an incredible view of the whole area. The climb takes 30 minutes, but much longer if you allow for stops en route. The shared trucks (at your cost – but you will have to wait till it is filled up in full people) can take you up to the entrance, where there are escalators. After enjoying the breathtaking view, descend to the foot of Mandalay Hill. From here, head to Shwenandaw Monastery -noted for its exquisite wood carvings and Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world’s biggest book Next visit to Sandamuni Pagoda – was commissioned by King Mindon Min in 1874 as a memorial to Mindon Min’s younger brother, KanaungMintha, who was assassinated along with 3 princes, Malian, Saku, and Maingpyin, during the 1866 Myingun Prince rebellion. This pagoda contains the graves of the Kanaung, SaguMintha, Malun and Maingpyin Princes Before heading back to the city, explore Yay TagonTaung for its beautiful scenery.
